Why occipital hair are chosen?

Occipital hair are resistant to androgens [i. e. testosterone], even after transplantation they maintain their resistance. And hormones are one of the major factors in balding scalp.

Is there need to admit?

No. It is a day procedure, and patients can go home the same day. There will be slight edema due to local anesthesia which will settle in few days and a dressing needs to be kept for 5 days. Patients can resume their work in 2 days.

How many sessions are required?

Number of sessions depends on degree of baldness, and quality(density) of hair.

Per session around 2500-3000 grafts are safely transplanted. More number of grafts can be taken per session but it is not advisable for patients benefit.
